Course Design and Teaching Workshop (CDTW)

There are two vital components to the workshop. One revolves around designing the syllabus of a course, a guided process towards creating a framework concentrating on four key concepts, namely, course content, learning outcomes, instructional strategies, and assessment methods along with pedagogical examples introduced by co-instructors. The other involves teaching practice, a segment where each participant gives a five-minute mini-lecture known as Microteaching. The process involves videotaping and receiving feedback from colleagues for self-reflection after the workshop. Viewers may refer to the e-Learning material consisting of one such microteaching session as an example for analyzing teaching strategies.
