Discipline-specific Approaches

Discipline-specific Approaches provides model classes for faculty to study pedagogical methods specific to their own areas of specialization. Each field consists of three or four chapters that include the latest topics. Scenarios of classes in English are voice-recorded, so viewers can listen to simulated conversations between professors and students. By listening to these example classes and looking at the accompanying slides, viewers are able to learn how to give practical explanations of concepts, ways of interacting with students in English, and methods for writing and explaining PowerPoint slides. Each chapter offers a variety of tools for learning and review such as 'Key Sentences' and 'Exercises' to enhance faculty member's understanding of the material. Details of the chapters in each field are as follows:

Natural sciences

Humanities and social sciences
